Onsite Wastewater Design

The following are some examples of relevant onsite wastewater design projects that Freeland Engineering, P.C. is currently working on, or has completed, involving large scale onsite wastewater treatment systems. 

  • Ringwood Farms (Fauquier County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system and mass drainfield design for a 25,000 gallon per day, 63 lot subdivision. Scope of work includes septic tank effluent pump (S.T.E.P.) system design, treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization, groundwater mounding, nitrate concentration and mass drainfield drip dispersal design.
  • St. Francis Church (Loudoun County) – Onsite wastewater system design for a 5,000 gallon per day church, school and day care facility, including drip dispersal system.
  • Raymond Farms (Fauquier County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system and mass drainfield re-design for a 23,100 gallon per day, 66 lot subdivision. Scope of work includes treatment system design, tankage and storage requirements, UV disinfection, dosing requirements, building specifications, and landscaping plan.
  • Oxford Hills (Greene County)  – Onsite wastewater treatment system and mass drainfield design for a 40,000 gallon per day, 126 lot subdivision. Scope of work includes septic tank effluent pump (S.T.E.P.) and septic tank effluent gravity (S.T.E.G.) system design, treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization, groundwater mounding, nitrate concentration and mass drainfield drip dispersal design.
  • Monroe Heights (Greene County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system and mass drainfield design for a 25,000 gallon per day, 75 lot subdivision. Scope of work includes septic tank effluent pump (S.T.E.P.) and septic tank effluent gravity (S.T.E.G.) system design, treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization, groundwater mounding, nitrate concentration and mass drainfield drip dispersal design.
  • KC’s Crabs and Cues Sports Bar (Lancaster County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system, water system and mass drainfield design for an 80 seat sports bar with flow of 4,500 gallons per day. Scope of work included treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization, groundwater mounding, nitrate concentration and mass drainfield design.
  • Ponds Edge (Greene County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system and mass drainfield design for a 10,000 gallon per day, 33 lot subdivision. Scope of work includes septic tank effluent gravity (S.T.E.G.) system design, treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization, groundwater mounding, nitrate concentration and mass drainfield drip dispersal design.
  • King’s Grant (Lancaster County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system consulting to support a 550 lot residential and mixed use development with flows of 150,000 gallons per day.
  • Belvedere Plantation (Spotsylvania County) – Onsite wastewater treatment system design for a failing wastewater system at a commercial market and agricultural facility with flows of 4,000 gallons per day. Scope of work includes treatment system design, wastewater flow equalization and characterization.
